Heather is a musical storyteller singer-songwriter who thrives on reeling her audiences in to feel joy, togetherness and belonging. She loves sharing her universal programs through a mix of traditional and personal stories and ballads and songs individually designed for children, teens and adults. She brings them to life through participation, props, guitar and her unique, vibrant voice. Growing up with Scottish, Irish-Liverpudlian and Italian parents and grandparents, she relates intimately to difference and sameness in cultures, impressing on a positive attitude toward humanity. A popular guest artist at festivals, libraries and schools for Literacy Celebrations and community events, Heather has toured in Canada, and internationally in the US and Argentina. She is a recipient of Storytelling Toronto's Anne Smyth travel award and Alice Kane award in 2011 for an innovative project.

Heather worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant in the 70's on psychiatric, children's and chronic wards. She was a volunteer puppeteer, trainer, and coordinator for four years with KIDS ON THE BLOCK a troupe of disabled and non-disabled life-size puppets depicting developmental and social disabilities, and toured schools weekly. She worked part-time professionally as a Children's and Adult Fiction Library Assistant from 1989 " 2002 which involved storytelling programming, thus leading her to include freelance performances in schools and many venues since 1996.
